I hate my best mate's daughter?

I have a very good friend who i enjoy socialising with. And in the past few months we have, for whatever reason, started spending alot more time together. The problem is that when she can't get a babysitter we have to organise "family" outings where she and her boyfriend and daughter accompany me, my husband, my son and my baby daughter on days out etc. This would not be a problem were it not for her daughter. I'm quite a tolerable person, but i am also a very disciplined parent. My son is very well behaved, with manners and respect for his elders. He is a very intellegent little boy who enjoys reading and constructive play. Ie, make believe games not just running riot creating havoc and chaos for no other reason than that. He has never raised his hand to another child, or adult for that matter in his entire 7 years. He is very placid and gentle. However, my friend's daughter is about as vile as you can get. And i hate the effect it has on my lovely son. I enjoy spending time with my friend but she really is a bad parent. Maybe i should give a few examples of her daughter's behaviour before you judge me as being a bad person who hates a little girl. My friend's daughter has got it into her head that she is an adult. And yes, it is her mother's fault. She demands adult portions in resteraunts. Adult soft drinks & thats just the tip of the iceberg. She has a very bitchy nature. And will often but into conversations with her opinion & has been known to tell adults to shut up. If she see's another child being told off she will gloat & think it's ok to join in with the parent! She hits my son when he doesn't comply with her wishes of "bad behaviour play" She is far too aware 4 a 7yr old & has been known to say things like "that woman over there is giving me a dirty look" what 7 yr old notices things like that??! She will demand things & when her mum (my friend) gives in, she will change her mind and in a bitchy manner say "i dont want that. im not having that. i didnt want that one!" which makes my blood boil! As time has gone on, i have found myself disciplining her infront of her mum, who sits there quite happy to let me do so! Now, this girl needs some discipline but not from me. My friend does not see whats wrong with her daughter's behaviour, and on occasion will laugh at her more disgusting actions. When her daughter makes rude comments on people's appearance, she says it's funny & will laugh. Now, i realise this makes my friend sound like the sort of person i shouldn't be friends with. But i like to think, besides that, she's a good person. Maybe i am far too quick at trying to see the good. I know that trying to do that with her daughter has got me nowhere. And now i am stuck with a choice. My son is sick and tired of her. And now my other friends, whose children have spent time with this child at my house at social gatherings, have all said they dont want their children around this girl again. Only last night my friends daughter went upto the Dad of the girl she was playing with and told him "to get away" from his own daughter!!! I feel i need to distance my son from her without causing a rift with my friend. Even my family have encountered this child's disgusting manners. A few weeks ago i was at a family meal and i bumped into my friend as they arrived. We were leaving as my baby needed to go to bed so we chatted for a moment then left, leaving the rest of my family to talk. I later found out that my friends daughter had approached my grandmother & said "oi, are you gonna come and talk to my mum or wot?" Not wanting to be rude my grandmother went to talk to my friend, who she does not know, and the child proceeded to dominate the conversation! To put it plainly, my friends daughter is a rude little ***** & i dont want her influence around my son anymore. She is a dominating little brat who thinks she is equal to adults & has the right to berate children her own age when their parents discipline then and taunt them too. Her tone of voice is downright bitchy & i cant bear to hear her speak thats how bad it has got! How do i distance my son from her without alienating my friendship with her mom? Or is that something i will have to chance because my son comes first? Any advice welcome!!!

Do you agree about letting a guy spend the night?

I was once reading a book (a novel) and a woman said that she would never let a guy spend the night after having with him because the morning would ruin the sensuality (I think she used the word "magic") of the night before. And now that I think about it... it seems true. Try the rescues again, and this time if you don't like the locals, shop the internet a bit. There are MANY rescue groups that specialize in breeds. Also, some can be better to deal with than others. Most really are OK and truth be told they don't have the time or resources to act as Big Brother and check up on you. The reality is that they are trying to screen people to make sure they are legit and that the dog is going to a decent home. What happened with Ellen was just plain strange! Ellen did the right thing. The dog turned out to be a bad fit for her, but she found a new good home. Something seems very wrong with the people in that shelter. Anyway, the shelters/rescues will cost you less, you'll be saving a life, you won't get a puppy mill dog and as a result your dog will likely be healthier, happier and less expensive. Good luck!

The non custodial parent of my child has not seen or made any attempts to see my child for 4 years of their life. They have also not paid or made any attempts to pay child support for 2 1/2 years(in 2009) and the payment was not recieved by me because I moved to another state. I suffer from chronic pain due to pancreatitis,biliary colic etc.I had my gallbladder which was filled with stones removed earlier this year,it reduced the pain caused by the stones but did nothing for the pancreatitis.I have seen three specialists,begged and pleaded with them to do something with it as I cannot do anything due to the chronic pain,they have done nothing,too risky apparently,I would like to go back to work,but my doc doesn't think that's a good idea.I'm on very strong painkillers,they do help,but the side affects are very problematic.Just wondering if anyone else in the UK has had this problem fixed and who did it?Its been three years now and I'm pissed off living on �400 a month,which now with everything increasing in price is nothing.

I am due for an induction tomorrow so long as the hospital has room and doesnt cancel on me. anyways, this is supose to be a time where my friends and family support me and comfort me and keep me relaxed. but instead everyone is driving me insane. to the point I am now freaking out about tomorrow and dreading it. I moved from the location over 12 years ago. The child is 12. I was never married to him and didn't have his social security number until one of his ticked off ex-girlfriends gave it to me last year. I have been trying to get support since 1997, but back then I didn't have the social sec. #. Now I have his address, one of his job information, social, picture, and more. I have provided this to the child support enforcement office. They lost my paperwork once, so I have been trying again since 11/2006 to get child support. They reopened on my case in August of 2007 after not informing me that they closed my case. Long story made a little bit shorter...How long did it take you (those people that have had a similiar situation) to get child support enforced and do you have any tips for helping things along? He lives in Tennessee and I paid several times for my daughter to vist him...This is in no way about money.It's about responsibility.

I have MS. I would prefer not to use Septocaine?

I am the one with the previous Septocaine question. I am multichemical sensitive including but not limited to MSG, Aspartame, Sulfites, Sulfer Dioxide, Splenda makes my tongue and gums numb In my research Septocaine is both an Amide and Ester. I do not want an ester, nor do I want Articaine after reading about complaints on parasthesia . It is the newest local anesthetic, sure the dentists love it, but you docs our there, if you read further on Septo, it IS the hardest to excrete. That may be ok for a healthy person, but for MS patients, I noted in my reading that Xylocaine, or Mepivacaine. may be better, though dentists hate not using Epi - I can not tolerate the metabisulfite buildup any longer. In addition, with Septo I inevitably need a second administration before the procedure is done anyway. Also, blocks don't work with me. What is the safest local "caine" for me to use without sulfiltes?? .. and yes that would mean no epi, but I am more concerned about me, not the dentists ease

I worked out yesterday morning for about 1hr. Just ABS, pushups, squats, different types. Today I wake up and when I breath really deep it hurts at my backbone. I don't know if exercising effected it. But when I yawn it hurts! What happened and what can I do? I never felt this before. Should I wait to see of it goes away.

Sad to say, if your bottle was made poorly or has any form of cracks in it (no matter how small) it could have mold that has grown in it. Sorry to gross you out. I've had a few coffee mugs where the outside linings have cracked and the same thin happened. If in doubt, try washing it out with some vinegar and baking soda (let it fizz up) and then rinse with hot water. Don't use it for a while. Let it dry out completely and see if there's any difference.

Have you ever tried reading Artemis Fowl books? I'm reading the first one, and the beginning may seem awkward, but I'll tell you, its a good mix of fiction and real-life things. There is one certain kind of sling that has been found to be dangerous. I used a sling with my son starting when he was about 6 weeks old and never had an issue with it. It was a convenient way to carry him and he was very comfortable in it. My sister used a sling with all; 5 of her kids starting from when they were a few days old until they were 3 or 4 and she also never had any issues. If I have another baby I will most definitely carry him/her around in a sling.

remember a betta is a labyrinth fish and requires minimal room. 8 gallon hex sounds nice but is a single betta REALLY worth 120$ to you? the used 10g is still a little large unless you are going to make it a community tank. the 5g is probably your best choice based on size, and most bettas are fine without a heater and minimal decorations, although they do prefer slightly warmer temps. hope this helps.

It says the school is 72 days on about.com. They told him his last day would be September 19. But now he keeps telling me there is AFI possibility where he'll have to wait a week or more to start blocks 3,4,and 5. He's been there since June 1. Does AFI always happen? Or is there a good chance that his last day will be in September? I would think that since they give them a date of completion, that they would stick by it. I'm confused about all of this. Anime recommendations??

I am looking for anime similar to dbz and no I am not looking for anime like Naruto, Bleach and One piece but anime with the same type of genre. The thing I like most about dbz is that it's unique in terms of how it mixes sci fi elements with fantasy elements perfectly unlike most anime that is either plainly sci fi or plainly fantasy. I notice that with most sci fi anime it's the same thing mechs and more mechs and with fantasy anime it's usually about demons or if it's an anime directed at girls it would be fairies. That's why I'm looking for an anime that is action packed like dbz, has both fantasy and sci fi elements but does not have a lot of mechs and demons in it. Mechs and demons to me are way to overused in anime.

94 honda fourtrax carb?

I just bought a honda fourtrax and when I got it the idle was kinda funkey so I took apart the carb and rebuild it. It wasnt really gunked up or anything when I took it apart but I sprayed the hell outta it with carb cleaner and blew out every hole anyways. I got it back together and its still doing the same exact thing. It kinda chugs, like the idle is going up than down and sometimes it stays high when its in neutral and than calms back down. I tryed adjusting the pilot screw and the stop throttle screw but they didnt seem to make any difference. Also changed the spark plug. Anyone have any ideas why it would be doing this? Thanks.

Is it naive to think a long-time marriage can remain true to the marriage vows until the death of a spouse?

I had a fairy tale courtship and marriage for about 19 years. As I look around now, I quickly realize my husband has control of everything that concerns me. Since our early twenties we supported each other and worked hard in our family business we started together. We were absolutely very in love with each other, always there for one another and we were the people others called on to help with whatever--we gladly did it. Business, home, charity work, -whatever, we had each other's back and everyone knew it and admired us for it. Just recently after 29 years, I find that my husband's loyalties have shifted, and thus I realize that everything we've built, we've built together. I have no career of my own, though I do have a college degree. I haven't built friendships along the way because I was always working with him to accomplish whatever it was. I always thought "we would have time together to just enjoy one another soon." Soon, soon, soon -didn't come often enough. Now at the time when our lives have slowed down to a certain extent and we could really be into each other (I still keep myself very attractive) I'm finding that he's not truthful when it comes to some things. I've heard that every man lies a little, and that it's harmless because as human beings we all need our egos stroked a bit. I didn't think lies would enter into our marriage-we had something really extraordinary. But it has happened and I've considered moving out when he leasts expects it. His dishonestly cuts to a place in my heart that makes the thought of it unbearable for me. Although there hasn't been a ual violation, (I can't imagine how people deal with that) there has been more than a couple little lies. In my mind (of course), I haven't been a nagging, inconsiderate, overbearing wife. I feel like he could just say to me what he's doing and that would be fine. But the half truth or the deliberate omission of a detail, really gets to me when I find out the whole truth. I asked him one time, if I spent my time doing whatever he sometimes spends his time doing, would it be okay with him? He said that he wasn't sure. Honestly, I really feel that after all this time, he's now throwing me away in a sense. I don't have access to money right now with the dip in the economy-everything is hard. The car I drive is old and barely making it. I went with my husband recently to pick out a new one--so he's in the process of working out that transaction. We live in a beautiful home and it's no doubt that he loves me. I question the being "in love" part. I feel one can't possibly be madly in love with a person telling little lies and being divided in their loyalty. I know this may sound like silly girl talk and perhaps I should just get over it because he's providing for me and has been all of these years-however, he knows that I value having close time with him- to me, having married my true love, "getting stuff" is not most important to me. If I married for money or if I didn't really love him when we married, maybe I could fake it and act like I was happy just to get "stuff." Perhaps I should, as they say, get a life--apart from the things we do together (and that has been everything). Perhaps I should find people to now talk to and relax with, but I know there is a danger in doing that. In the past several months, I would get upset with his new found independence from me, but now I've come to a place of calmness. Afterall, as I said I don't have resources at the moment. I realize I need some time to get resources before I can do anything. In the meantime, I don't want anger or bitterness to be the flavor of our home. How do I keep it together - remaining calm, going about things as usual, etc and most importantly, how do I continue to show tenderness, love, and have intimacy when I feel deep inside "un-cherished" and un-protected, and not honored--you know- those things that we said in the vows so long ago?

Well captive rearing means that we can better guarantee the survival of a species. We can reduce losses for each generation and build the gene pool. IF (and this is not specificially doented anywhere that i've seen by the way) that money spent in reproducing species actually does take away dollars from conservation of habitat, this means that we're producing an animal which will have no place to go home to. Without the habitat, conserving the species is also rather pointless since the idea is to put the wild animal back where it belongs - in the wild. An animal and it's habitat are intimately connected. Without saving them both, you lose half of the equation.

I recently lost a significant amount of weight and have a lot of loose skin what are my options?

I am 23 years old and am 5'10. I was 355 pounds. I lost the weight over the course of 3 years. For the past 8 months I have been unable to break 240 lbs. Since losing the weight my skin on my chest, legs and arms is pretty much just loose flabby skin. I believe this is the reason I have been unable to lose any more weight. I'm sure I could help the problem with strength training (which I have never done). But in all honesty, I'm somewhat lazy to stick to a regiment, especially for 2 reasons. The first being that I have read in some places that cosmetic surgery is the only way to eliminate all of the problem. Also, I'm concerned that strength training would take a very long time to notice any results, which would only lead me to become frustrated and give up. As far as surgery. What are the costs, risks, and success? Should I give strength training a shot? I would prefer anyone with credentials present them when answering. I think he is 100% a mutt. You'd be surprised at how some of these mutts can look like a purebred dog. Several weeks ago, I came across a dog (long story) that looked like a purebred Norwich Terrier, which is quite rare. It turned out that the dog was a Yorkie/Pom mix. (It was a lost dog, and I found the original owner, and they told me what the mix was) I don't even think the dog you pictured even has American Eskimo in it at all. I can see Chi/Pom and *maybe* even Corgi, but that's jmo.

I 99 Chevy Trailblzr that starts hard when cold. Code shows bad fuel pressure sensor and purge valve solenoid?

Took it to a shop, they said it was a bad fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced approximately two years ago so I am skeptical of the diagnosis. I took the truck home and after it sat overnight in the cold measured the fuel pressure, it read 55psi, is this a sufficient pressure to start the vehicle or is the problem I am experiencing somewhere other than the fuel pump?

Problem with my Marshall Amp?

I have a 100watt Marshall Valvestate VS100 amp. Lately a strange problem has been occuring. During play she makes a popping noise then becomes barely audible. I turn it off and it makes a loud pop then turn it back on and it works fine for about 2 mins then repeats the problem. Lately ive been playing in really hot conditions and a mate suggested it may be thermal overload. I dont see why this would effect a sturdy constructed amp. Any smart amp people have any idea?

There are two vacuum lines that come out of the E.G.R. solenoid.one goes to the E.G.R. diafram,but where does the other go.It is missing from the solenoid.

i've never heard of mouth sores being a symptom of diabetes but you never know. see your doctor for blood tests but mouth sores sound more like lupus to me. people with lupus often get sores inside their mouth and/or nose. its autoimmune (but treatable) and attacks your organs so it could be affecting your pancreas or kidneys enough to mess with your sugar.

I recently logged on to Facebook & like always there were friend suggestions from my local community & then I saw something out of the ordinary people I knew from other states(over 1,500 miles away!) that I had known on MySpace before that had no other connections to my area besides my MySpace account from before. No I did not give Facebook my email pword & it is not just shear luck out of the millions of people I happen to see these profiles. The only thing I can think of is that somehow Facebook got a hold of a MySpace database & they crossreference email accounts to see who was friends with whom. I thought these 2 networks were rivals? why would they share info? Is MySpace selling Facebook info?

Pulled starter and it checked out fine at local auto parts store. Replaced solenoid. Checked/cleaned all grounds to the best of my ability. When I turn the key it clicks at the solenoid but won't crank. Need help!

Drowning in Debt, what do we do????

My Husband and I have about $28,000 worth of debt, about $17,000 of that is his tax bill with another one coming at the end of this financial year. We can't keep atop, are struggling to feed our kids and ourselves (we ALWAYS make sure the kids are fed even if we have to starve). We have worked out we could afford $200-$300 a week repayments on a consolidation loan, but unfortunately our credit history looks that bad no one will touch us. I hate to say it but yes Ebay gets the best price and exposure for consumer goods like that. Their fees, on the other hand, are too high. Between ebay and paypal you end up spending usually up to 5% for basically ebay to get fat (cause they own both). Considering you are probably already selling these items at 50% (or more) less than what you paid it really doesnt make a difference. If you have a business though that 5% could be a huge % of your profit.

Teen depressed over job/personal issues?

Alright everyone, well first off i'd like to say good evening to all of you. I am a 19 year old male, who just recently graduated and I am in need of dire help. About a year ago, I started to notice I was depressed, over my ex girlfriend of 2 years, and I have OCD to a point which contributed - basically, it's no one thing, its the addition of something new every now and again. I have had a total of 3 jobs in my life, a supermarket (I walked out after a year) a bakery (I walked out after 3 months) and now I am employed at Dunkin Donuts a week already and absolutely can't stand it, I mix and fry the cake doughnuts, and yeast. I start at 3am everyday until about 9am, and it's starting to wear on me.It is also a dirty job (constantly smelling like a deep frier, and getting burnt which leads to scars) I dont want to be scarred for $8 an hour. My mom always says i'm just like my father who can't hold a job, so & so. I understand her, but she doesnt understand that my lack of motivation comes from being depressed. I am not one of those people who are open about being depressed, I don't show much emotion but what I mostly show due to it is anger, I get so angry at my mom because of it. I also *think* to have what is called Mollus Contagiosum, which is a skin disease. I think I have gotten it from I recieved from this girl. This is something else that has been wearing on me so badly I can't sleep at night due to stress headaches. The culmination of all these things has me to the point I just dont want to live life anymore, and 'check out' if you know what I mean. Now I am not suicidal, it's a stupid decision in my opinion, but I just cannot find a way out of all this stress that is giving me hell. No one understands that a job is almost impossible to hold when you have as many personal issues going on in life that I do. Can ANYBODY offer some insight to me? maybe it will help me land on a decision of what direction to go with all this. I've done my thing like that already (cancun, spring break, miami, jamaica). My mom says not to worry beause we will never have that much money for him to just squarder- basically telling me to make sure all the other priorities are paid off or done first. He has goals of owning property, becoming a stock investor (he sells cancer insurance), being a political role model, taking care of our parents, moving my family closer to us and having kids. We're 28 and he wants 6 kids, barely making it in a nation going twords a depression, where we both want to be part of that change. My mom said that in the process of accomplishing those goals- the fantasies will either be lost to cirstance or he will travel in blatant selfshiness in betrayal of all these goals. So she said not to worry and try hard for what we want and leave him alone to comfront reality instead of giving him the ultimatum "me forever or bachlor life." I am anxious for a direct answer. I don't want to spend another 5 years working on an "US" to be destroyed by "Oh, I'm off now to get friendly with the natives and act savage because I my cousin and I planned it since we were 12." Should I have the big boy talk -"you need to pick a lifestyle now." or should I just leave him on the path he's on with the "cloud 9" of boy'z vacation lingering somewhere.???????????? I feel like he's trying to prune himself for a family (he'd be a great dad and husband otherwise) but he's also attracted to these other ideas too.
