What is Salisbury Road, Edinburgh like?

I am viewing a flat tomorrow on salisbury road, edinburgh, it's a private let but I don't know the area very well.I know it's near the commonwealth swimming pools but I don't know how quiet it is or what the surrounding area/people are like?
