Calling all 'Jaws' fans!!!?

...did Chief Brody actually keep a souvenier from his first shark encounter (i.e., the first "Jaws")?? I recently saw an 'on-demand' broadcast of "Jaws 2", and well, I might be nuts, but I swear that I saw something familiar sitting on his front porch. I couldn't quite make it out, and I couldn't rewind the film...
