Alpine 7998 headunit amp question!? please help?

You should be able to wire this up to a single amplifier. If you are having troubles, check the voltage on your remote wire (should be battery voltage), and check the connections of your wiring. As far as hooking up your door / rear deck speakers to the amp, yes you can do this, but only if it is a 4 or 5 channel amp.
