What are the symptoms of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome?

I know a woman that drank very heavily (sometimes about 6 cans of stella before lunchtime) right up until she was about 5 months pregnant. She has now had the baby, but it's facial features look a bit funny. Could this be FAS? Or will that only be obvious when the child is older?
